Adam M. Terwey grew up in Stillwater, MN, attended the University of Minnesota for undergraduate studies, and is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas School of Law.  He has extensive litigation experience and knows how to handle sensitive situations both in and out of the courtroom.  His primary experience is in the areas of child protection, family law and criminal defense.  After working for a nonprofit law firm in Minneapolis, Adam decided to start a similar nonprofit in the Stillwater area, eventually leading to the creation of St. Croix Legal Services. His charitable work for St. Croix Legal Services has been recognized by the University of St. Thomas School of Law, which has honored him the 2022 “Living the Mission” award.

Adam is involved with his church and his family, and enjoys a wide range of hobbies including sailing, hobby farming, and music. He serves as Vice-President of the Washington County Bar Association and is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, which has recognized him as a “North Star Attorney” for the last seven years for his extensive pro bono work.
